Gook Synopsis: Eli and Daniel, two Korean American brothers, own a struggling shoe store and have an unlikely friendship with Kamilla, a street wise 11-year-old African American girl. It’s set against one of the most racially-heated moments of the 90s, but it’s more interested in the personalities and lives of the 3 characters at the centre of its narrative than diving head-first into the relationship between African-Americans and Korean-Americans.
